The mission of the Vermont Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association is to represent the physical therapy profession within the state of Vermont. The Vermont Chapter is dedicated to fostering an ethical and professional environment, throughout the state, for the practice of physical therapy which is founded on three cornerstones of physical therapy: education, research, and patient care. The Vermont Chapter promotes the profession of physical therapy to the public, lawmakers and the insurance industry as an integral component of health care. The Vermont Chapter works to ensure that the public and the physical therapy profession are protected by promoting fair regulations and legislation, encouraging research and educating others.
Vision
The Vermont Chapter of the APTA will represent 70% of the licensed physical therapy professionals in the state of Vermont through membership. The Vermont Chapter will be recognized by the public, lawmakers, and insurance industry as the primary resource and representative body for the physical therapy profession within the state.
